Kana Practice is an application for everyone who studies Japanese to quickly memorize the hiragana and katakana syllabaries.
Kana Practice consists of a memory game that helps you to quickly learn to distinguish the basic symbols of Hiragana and Katakana.
Once you know the basics you can pratice writing with your finger and compare the result to the original.
Through this active participation your brain will permanently keep what you just learned.
Quiz exercise:
The application is build on the principles of a memory game that presents a character and five different possible answers.
It can be configured to do hiragana, katakana or a mix of both.
Also the direction: kana to romaji or romaji to kana can be chosen.
Writing exercise:
A second part allows to practice writing with the finger or a stylus (e.g. Wacom Bamboo) on the display.
Once finished it can be compared to the original including the correct stroke order.
Through this active participation the memorization effect is even stronger.
Statistics:
A statistics view gives the learner a better insight into the learning progress. It is also a good thing to stay motivated.

Finally there is a handy character table for both Hiragana and Kataka with Romaji and stroke animation.
